ENDLESS MOUNTAIN OUTFITTERS

The Endless Mountains Heritage Region (EMHR) and Endless Mountain Outfitters (EMO) will take participants on a 11-mile river paddle on October 7, 2023, from the Bradford County Outboard Motor Club back to EMO in Sugar Run. Paddlers should arrive at Endless Mountain Outfitters by 8:30 a.m. to check-in. Upon loading rented and personal kayaks for transport, participants will be shuttled to the Bradford County Outboard Motor Club for a safety brief and a short presentation, then launch downriver. Paddlers should bring a packed lunch or snacks to enjoy for our stop along the river, where they will receive a presentation about historic sites along the route, such as Standing Stone, the Wyalusing Rocks and Homets Ferry. The paddle will lead back to EMO where dinner and a tasting with Deep Roots Hard Cider will be held, along with live entertainment from Kevin Doupe. This event will benefit conservation projects at Bradford County Parks. County Planning Director and EMHR board member, Matt Williams, will give a presentation about the parks while Jeremy Leaidicker of Penn State Extension will talk about the projects they are performing at the parks and other educational programming his organization offers in the region. Registration is $55 for those bringing their own watercraft and $95 for those renting a single kayak or $115 if renting a tandem kayak/canoe. This registration fee includes your donation to Bradford County Parks, insurance, the dinner, tasting and educational programming. For each paddle, participants are asked to bring appropriate footwear and clothing, lunch/snacks, sunscreen and a supply of water. Register to take this day paddle along our 2023 PA River of the Year - The North Branch Susquehanna River - at: www.emheritage.org/events
